Marshall County Sheriff Eddie McGuire joined us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. Sheriff McGuire says there is an uptick in serious illegal drugs in the area. He says most traffic stops these days involve a drug investigation or crime prevention. McGuire says to also be aware of the scams that are circulating in the area. Some by email, others by phones. He says some scams have even been made by someone claiming to be from the sheriff’s office, claiming to be calling about a warrant. McGuire says the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office will never call you about a warrant.
