Shirley Rutherford, age 73, of Boaz, KY passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mrs. Rutherford was born in Toone, TN on January 19, 1948. She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, watching Western movies and the series “Heartland” and playing Bingo. She was an avid gardener who loved roses and gardenias. She will be remembered as a very outspoken person and someone who loved her children and adored her grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bill Rutherford; three daughters, Tina Lambert (Phyl) of Symsonia, Lacey Forrester of Boaz and Loretta Stringer (Michael) of Reidland; two sons, Mike King (Leslie) of El Dorado, AR and Alan Rutherford of Boaz; one sister, Sonja Cates of South Haven, MS; nine grandchildren, JJ Kaufman (Julieanna), Micheal Farmer, April Jestes (Brian), Rusty Rednour, Lakyn Wortham (Austin), Tegan Stringer, Kaitlin Driscoll (Kevin), Michael King, Jr., and Easton Combs; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Rook and Francis Jines; one daughter, Missy Rednour; one sister, one brother and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes with Rev. David Key officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service time on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes
