Mitzi Kirkwood, age 56, of Paducah, KY passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2021 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mitzi was born in Paducah on June 15, 1964 to the late Hugh and Joan Kirkwood. She was known for her obsession with all things purple and as a supporter and advocate of the LGBTQ Community. She loved people, especially her family, but she cherished nothing more than her furbaby, Daisy. Many people will remember her beautiful singing voice and her love of theatre. She participated in several productions at Reidland High School and later at Market House Theatre. She graduated from Reidland in 1982.
She will be remembered as a social, sweet, caring, giving and perfect friend, sister and aunt.
Mitzi is survived by her uncle, Patrick Kirkwood (Faye) of Princeton, KY; her sister, Julie Wood (Greg) of Clarksville, TN; two nieces, Amanda Pennington (Payton) of Murray and Rachel Hall (Brent) of Clarksville, TN; and one great-niece, Melody Pennington.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
