Mrs. Connie L. King, age 78 of Calvert City, KY, died Monday, April 5, 2021 at the Calvert City Convalescent Center. A native of Wheeling, WV, Mrs. King was the daughter of Dale Winters and Anna June (Caldwell) Riggle. She retired as a care plan coordinator at the Calvert City Convalescent Center after 44 years of service. Mrs. King was a member of Calvert City United Methodist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by five daughters, Cheryl (Danny) Arquitt, Christine (Ron) Wells, Carol (Darrell) Melton, Cyndi Sullivan, and Candy (Jeff) Thomas all of Calvert City; one brother, Dale (Sharon) Riggle of Dayton, OH; and 11 grandchildren, Darren Mason, Anthony Tyler Mason, Samantha Mason, Amanda Nadorff, Derrick Stone, Trinity Melton, Aaron Melton, Dr. Charles Blake Sullivan, Rae Anna Sullivan, Logan Hodge, and Cassidy Hodge; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roger Wade King; and two brothers, David Riggle and Robert Riggle.
Funeral services will be conducted 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 7th, 2021 at Collier Funeral Chapel, 211 West 5th Street, Benton, KY, with Rev. Jimmy Eaves officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 until 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 7th, 2021 at the funeral home.
