William Burgess, 59

William Hamilton Burgess, age 59, of Cunningham, passed away on March 18, 2021 at his residence.

William was born on July 18, 1961 to the late Verland Bill and Addie Beth Burgess.  He was of the Baptist faith and attended Pryorsburg Baptist Church in Mayfield.  William was a hardworking man who worked as a welder and operated his own business, Burgess Steel Services.  He loved all things outdoors.  William was an avid hunter and fisherman and bred and trained his own Beagles for rabbit hunting and for trials.  He also enjoyed riding ATV’s and farming.

William is survived by his wife, Donna Bates Burgess of Cunningham; daughter, Whitney Sutterfield (Danny) of San Angelo, Texas; step-son, Cliff Tolbert (Shanda) of Reidland; two step-daughters, Latisha McClain (Dennis) of Summerville, South Carolina and Kirstie Nichols of Paducah; two sisters, Anita Roach (Ronald) and Ruthie Burgess, both of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; two brothers, Stevie Burgess and Gene Burgess (Sue), both of Arlington; and his grandchildren, Kyra, CJ, Olivia and Jake.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Burgess and his parents.

A memorial service for William will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with Bro. Marshall Ivey officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the service time of 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the funeral home.
