Marshall County vaccination update, March 18, 2021

Governor Beshear announced during the press conference today the opening of a vaccination clinic at KY Dam Village State Resort Park. The clinic, operated by Wild Health out of Lexington, KY, plans to begin administering Pfizer vaccine as early as Wednesday of next week. The Marshall County Health Department is partnering with the Governor’s office, the KY Department for Public Health, University of KY, and Wild Health in this operation. It has been our highest priority to provide a vaccination to every citizen in our community who wants one. The extreme limited supply of the vaccine has been the single largest barrier preventing us from meeting the current demand. However, with this new partnership with Wild Health at KY Dam Village, the barrier will be reduced significantly. Wild Health has the capability to administer the Pfizer vaccine which will allow them to provide vaccinations in much greater numbers. You can register for a vaccination online at kyvax.com/kydam or call 859-217-4679. Vaccination appointments are available from 8am – 7pm seven days a week when operations begin.

If you are currently on the waiting list with the Marshall County Health Department, we encourage you to contact Wild Health at KY Dam Village if you prefer the Pfizer vaccine or if you would like to get vaccinated sooner. The health department will continue to receive 100 prime doses of Moderna each week. If you prefer to receive Moderna, please call the Marshall County Health Department at 270-527-1496 to schedule your appointment. We are open to phase 1c residents as authorized by Governor Beshear which includes persons age 50 and up.
