Jacob “Jake” Edmiston, 10, of Paducah, formerly of Benton, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Home of The Innocents of Louisville.
He was born on June 18, 2010 to Timothy and Sandra (Farmer) Edmiston.
Jake’s courageous spirit was obvious to everyone lucky enough to meet him. He was a little angel sent to Earth to show immense strength and determination to fight in the face of many adversities; when others may have been tempted to give up. In Jake’s short life, he was able to teach many valuable lessons to those around him. The most important lesson was to never let anything stop you. The lives of all who were blessed to love and be loved by Jake were made better by simply having known him.
He is survived by his parents, Timothy and Sandra Edmiston of Benton; one brother, Andrew Edmiston of Louisville; and his grandparents, Ronnie and Pam Farmer, and Patricia Edmiston.
Jake was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rev. Richard Edmiston and his uncle, Joey Farmer.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 12:30 pm at Trinity Cemetery in Hickory, Ky with Rev. Bob Martin officiating.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations made in memory of Jake to Home of the Innocents; 100 E. Market St. Louisville, KY 40206.
