
A tough 1-point loss to Ballard Memorial on Friday was followed up with a win over University Heights on Saturday for the Lady Eagles. At 11-11, they head into the final week of the season with three games left on the schedule. They will play at CCA (3-22) Monday, Tuesday at Lyon County (14-7) and wrap up on Saturday at University Heights (1-14).
Three in double figures led CFS against the Lady Bombers led by Gracie Howard with 28 points, Lillian Burnett 17 and Jayden Jackson with 14. Gracie Howard recorded a double-double with her 14 rebounds as did Burnett who finished with 12 rebounds. Rhema Howard had 10 rebounds for CFS.
Gracie Howard was 9/10 at the free throw line, Burnett 7/12 and Jackson 3/4. Two 3-pointers in the game came from Jackson and Gracie Howard.
Senior Madison Calvin led the Lady Bombers with 36 points and 17 rebounds.
CFS lost 83-77 to Ballard Memorial in overtime on Feb. 20.

On Saturday, the Lady Eagles topped University Heights 54-33, led in scoring again by Gracie Howard with 24 points. Burnett had 16 and Jackson 10 in the win. Howard dropped in the Lady Eagles two 3-pointers and Burnett had a big night on the boards with 22 rebounds.
Brittyn Northington led the Lady Blazers with 16 points.
Among the top 50 scoring leaders in the state, Gracie Howard ranks ninth, averaging 22.1 points per game. Burnett ranks 32nd in rebounds with an average of 10.5 per game and as a team, CFS ranks fifth in the state with a 38.1 average per game.
