Joining us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program was Billy Pitts, Public Health Director at the Marshall County Health Department. He said the logistics of administering the COVID-19 vaccine has been a challenge with a limited number of vaccines coming in and a growing list of people wanting the vaccine. Additional staff was hired to answer the numerous phone calls coming in and for a time the health department did not receive doses of the vaccine. Pitts said the total doses that the health department has received is only 600, but he is hopeful more will be coming in soon.
