Myron Yoder, age 84, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at his home.
Mr. Yoder was born on November 29, 1936 in Keota, IA to his late parents, Robert Hillard and Hazel Gertrude Stoutner Yoder. Myron was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a carpenter supervisor for large construction firms. He was a former member of First Christian Church in Benton and most recently attended First United Methodist Church in Benton. He was also a member of Elks Lodge in Benton and Carpenters Local 308. Myron was a lovable man who loved to fish and had a great sense of humor.
Myron is survived by his wife, Marion Adkins; four daughters, Elizabeth “Beth” Morris (Joel) of Port Orchard, WA, Kathy Gysbers (Dan) of Columbia, MO, Lisa Shelton (Brian) of Broomfield, CO, Angie Hall (Mike) of Columbia, MO; two step-sons, Gary Edmonson (Beth) of Owensboro, KY, Kevin Edmonson (Melissa) of Monticello, KY; sister, Joyce Leedom of Keota, IA; brother, Keith Yoder (Judy) of Melbourne, FL; fifteen grandchildren, Elise Pimentel (Zach), Sarah Anderson (Jon), Daniel Morris, Jackson Gysbers, David Gysbers, Emma Gysbers, Taylor Shelton, Mackenzie Shelton, Connor Shelton, Jacob Hall, Mya Hall, Brittany Kotzambasis (Demetri), Ryan Edmonson, Trevor Edmonson, Zachary Edmonson (Melissa); four great-grandchildren, Aspen Pimentel, Aiden Anderson, Emma Anderson, Aiden Edmonson.
In addition to his parents, Myron was preceded in death by his first wife, Sally Miller Yoder and brother-in-law, Jack Leedom.
Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner and Orr is handling arrangements.
A private memorial service for the family will be held.
