Master Gardener Barbara Ray joined us on WCBL’s Coffee Call. She said now is the time to do some planning for your vegetable garden. Ray says gardening and home remodeling are two of the most popular things right now since more people have been staying home. She said one thing you need to do is to make sure your garden spot will be getting six to eight hours of sunlight. And when it comes to plants that can help keep pests away, marigolds, rosemary, sage and mint are good and for mosquitoes, lavender, basil, catnip and garlic are good choices.
