PADUCAH, KY (Dec. 19, 2020) — KYTC District 1 anticipates ongoing construction activities at the following locations will impact traffic the week of Dec 20-26, 2020. Additional projects may be added through the week with individual traffic advisory notices. More detailed information on these individual work zones is available via the KYTC District 1 Facebook page link below.
I-24 at 51 to 65mm in Lyon/Caldwell/Trigg Counties
Westbound traffic is restricted to one lane from the 65 to about the 58 mile marker until about Dec. 23, to allow a centerline barrier wall to be removed. Westbound delays are possible, particularly during peak travel periods. Westbound traffic has returned to normal flow from about the 58 to 51 mile marker. Westbound motorists should be alert for a paving crew in this work zone on Monday, Dec. 21. The crew will be spot-paving to provide a smoother ride when the final section of westbound lanes reopen for the winter. Eastbound traffic on Interstate 24 has shifted to the new concrete pavement along the eastbound lanes. Expect intermittent eastbound lane restrictions to facilitate ongoing finish work. All restrictions should be removed before the Christmas holiday. A short segment of one-lane traffic may continue through the holidays. KYTC engineers are planning a full concrete rehab along about 6 miles of the westbound lanes starting in the spring of 2021.
Calloway County
