Christmas trees and decorations are going up all over, and joining us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program was master gardener Barbara Ray. She says Christmas hollies are some of her favorites for this time of year and they come in several varieties. The kissing plant, mistletoe is always popular this time of year. And of course the Christmas poinsettia is popular this time of year. Ray says not to over water your poinsettia and to cut a hole in the foil so the water is able to drain. And if you have a gardener on your Christmas list, pruners, clippers, gloves are always good gifts, or she says you can never go wrong with a gift card.
