MURRAY, KY – Senator Mitch McConnell makes a visit at a press conference recently held at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Jerry Penner, CEO at MCCH welcomed the Senator and Dr. Nicholas O’Dell, Chief Medical Officer gave a full update on the impact of the Coronavirus and expressed appreciation to the staff at MCCH for their continued commitment to caring for patients and stopping the spread in our community.
“Our staff have literally poured their blood, sweat, and tears into taking care of this community during this pandemic and will continue to do so,” said Dr. Nicholas O’Dell.
The Senator discussed the impact of the CARES Act and relief funding that was given to MCCH to help offset some of the losses during the pandemic. He also discussed the future direction and impact COVID-19 continues to have on not only healthcare facilities but small businesses as well.
