Austin has been a member of the Marshall County Trap team for five years. Last season, Austin ranked in the state Top 25 individuals overall from the spring trap season, tied at 17 with a season average of 23.60 and tied at seventh in the Top 10 final standings of 1A Conference 3.
During the 2019 season, Austin shot 25-Straight four out of five weeks and was selected to the Trap All-State Team.
During his athletic career at Marshall County High School, Austin also played football and basketball, earning a selection to the All-District Team for basketball his sophomore year.
An honor student, Austin plans to attend the University of Mississippi and major in Electrical Engineering.
