James William Martin, 95, of Paducah, formerly of Kirbyton, KY, passed away at 4:10 am on Thursday, March 05, 2020 at Baptist Health.
James was a member of Rosebower Baptist Church, a United States Army WWII Veteran and retired from Clark Oil Company.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Gracie Pease Martin; two sisters, Wanda Martin McNeely of Kirbyton, Joyce Dean Martin Mason of Kirbyton; and several nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to him as “Uncle Bitsy.” A name bestowed on him by his daddy who called him his little Bitsy Boy (because he had one boy already.)
He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Eulene Krieger, Martha Marie Martin; three brothers, Charles Neville Martin, Hubert Martin; Norman Wayne Martin. His parents were Claude Kirby Thomas Martin and Flora Hobbs Martin; and a nephew.
Funeral services for James will be 1:00 pm on Saturday March 7, 2020 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Mike Wooley officiating, burial will follow at Kirbyton Cemetery. His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation for James will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday March 7, 2020 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
