Cayson Conner’s 22 points and Halle Langhi’s 20 led the Lady Marshals to an opening round regional tournament win over Carlisle County. Their 69-27 win over the Lady Comets puts them in Friday’s semi-final game against McCracken County, a 67-41 winner over Mayfield in the second game on Monday.
After an opening basket by Langhi, the next nine points came from Conner for an 11-2 Lady Marshals lead. Layne Pea dropped in a three for a 14-2 lead before Carlisle County’s Kierra Whitaker scored. They extended their lead to 58-22 in the third quarter which kicked in the running clock and kept Carlisle County out of the scoring column in the fourth quarter on their way to a 42 point win.
