Robert F. Marsh, Sr. 82, of Benton, KY passed away at 4:26 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020 at his residence.
Robert was born on August 18, 1937 in Benton, KY to the late James Nicholas Marsh and Mae Evaline Fisher Marsh. He worked as a chemical operator and later retired from Arkema, formerly known as Pennwalt. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Benton but attended Union Hill Church of Christ with his wife. Robert was a “Jack of all trades” and loved carpentry, piddling in his garage, and watching old western shows and movies. Most of all he loved his family well, and loved visiting with all of his grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his wife, of 60 years, Lovetta McQuithey Marsh; three daughters, Karan Pickard and husband Roger of Benton, KY, Janet Hicks and husband Ronald of Hopkinsville, KY, and Jackie Hageman and husband Ryan of Dyersburg, TN; one son, Robert Marsh, Jr. and wife tammy of Benton, KY; one sister Mary Dean Schoborg of Calvert City, KY; twelve grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Ann Fiske; one brother, James Nicholas Marsh, III; and his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr. Bro. Ron Hicks will officiate and burial will follow at Marshall County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
