The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a Paducah man was charged with manslaughter following a collision on Interstate 69, near the I-24 overpass Wednesday afternoon.
Kyle Green, 39, of Paducah, lost control of the vehicle he was driving and struck a guardrail. A passenger in Green’s vehicle, Jamie Burks, 33, of Ledbetter, was ejected from the car. Burks was taken to Lourdes Hospital where she later died.
Green was taken to the Marshall County Detention Center and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs/ETC- 1st Offense and Manslaughter 2nd Degree.
Marshall County Sheriff Eddie McGuire said the case remains under investigation and amendments to the charges are possible.
