Walter A. “Cotton” Dickerson, 83, of Symsonia died on Friday, December 6, 2019 at his home.
He was a diesel mechanic/ truck driver for Usher Transport for over 50 years and a member of the Hardmoney Baptist Church.
Walter is survived by his best friend, Sue Reynolds of Symsonia; one daughter, Wynnava Sherron of Paducah; two brothers, Ray Dickerson of Bowling Green and Wally Dickerson of Paducah; and three sisters, Brenda Carter of Paducah; Pat Known of Paducah, and Louise Miller of Bowling Green.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wally Dickerson and Nellie Smith; as well as his siblings, Eugene Dickerson, Juanita Richardson and Ruby Miller and a daughter, Vonita Kilgore.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 11. 2019 at Lindsey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hardmoney Baptist Church Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family from 11:30am to service hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.
