Mrs. Shirley Jean (Shoulta) Henderson, age 88 of Benton, KY passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY.
Born Tuesday, November 25, 1930 in McCracken Co, KY, she was the daughter of the late Richard Shoulta and the late Hazel (Staten) Shoulta. She was the wife of 63 years to the late Earl L. Henderson.
She was a homemaker, worked at the Florsheim Shoe factory in Paducah, KY and later in life, she was co-owner of the Montgomery Ward store in Benton, KY. She was an active in the Marian Guild and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Calvert City, KY.
Surviving are daughter, Kim Lampert, husband Marty of Benton, KY; sister, June Kaufman of Lone Oak, KY; grandchildren, Ross Martin Lampert, wife Meaghan of Benton, KY and Rachelle LaRue Taylor, husband Daniel of Killeen, TX; great grandchildren, Aiden Daryl Taylor and Anniston Taylor of Killeen, TX, Braydan Lampert, Millie Lampert and Quintin Lampert all of Benton, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and by brothers, Bill Shoulta, Jim Shoulta and Roscoe Shoulta.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Calvert City, KY, with Father Brian Johnson officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
