Claudia Jerretta Spees Followell, age 84, of Paducah passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at her home. Jerretta was a member of West End Baptist Church. Jerretta was a graduate of Reidland High School. Her hobbies included, genealogy, gardening, sewing and flowers. Jerretta was a loving wife, devoted mother, and wonderful grandmother. She was commonly called Grandmommy by all her family. All Jerretta ever wanted to be was to be the best Wife, Mother and Grandmother possible.
Survivors… include one daughter, Cara “Jeannie” Byford, Paducah; four sons, Richard B. “Rick” Followell and wife, Teresa, Michael D. Followell and wife, Dawn, Stanley T. Followell, all of Paducah, and Robert A. Followell and wife, Khristina of Gainesville, GA; 11 grandchildren, Timothy B. (Beth) Followell, James R. (Catherine) Followell, Kathryn Followell, Emily Followell, Whitney Followell, Matthew Followell, Stephen Followell, Blake Followell, Sarah Elizabeth Followell, Kayleigh Byford and Evan Byford; one sister, Jeannette King and one brother, Garth William Spees and wife, Louise; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Richard D. Followell; parents, Garth Allen Spees & Ola Barker Spees; two brothers, Howell T. Spees and Horace Allen Spees; two grandchildren, Kyle Byford and Michaela Byford.
Services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Revs. Terry Sills and Dewayne Chadwick officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Graves County. Visitation will be held Friday, October 25, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home
