Daytime work zone lane restriction on KY 348 in Marshall County starting Monday, Sept 30

PADUCAH, Ky. (Sept 26, 2019) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a daytime work zone lane restriction along KY 348/Symsonia Highway west of Benton in Marshall County starting Monday, September 30, 2019.

Traffic along KY 348/Symsonia Highway will be restricted to one lane near mile point 6.6 to allow base repairs to be following by maintenance patching.  This is along KY 348/Symsonia Highway between the KY 2606/Jackson School Road intersection and the KY 1558/Ivey Road intersection.

Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic starting around 8 a.m., CDT, each day, just after the morning school bus run.

This daytime work zone lane restriction is expected to be in place for 2 to 3 days.  Once completed, the base repairs will be allowed to settle for several days.  A paving crew will then return to place an asphalt maintenance patch on the repaired area.

Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled  by flaggers.  Appropriate caution is required.
