Mrs. Phyllis Lusk, age 88, of Murray, Kentucky died at 3:20pm Thursday, August 8, 2019 at her residence.
Mrs. Lusk was born September 20, 1930 in Riviera Beach, Florida to the late Claude Smith and Bernice Roberts Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lusk; son, Stephen Sanchez; and a brother, Johnny Smith. She was a member of the Poplar Spring Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Micky Sanchez, Florida, Ricky Sanchez (Sandra), Mississippi, Billy Martin, Florida, and Scott Lusk, Murray, Kentucky; daughters, Paulette Kellerher, Georgia, Valerie Dowdy, Murray, Kentucky, and Tami Winchester (Mark), Murray, Kentucky; stepson, Leon Lusk, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Pam Guess, Alabama; sister, Betty Jean Jacobs, Tennessee; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2:00pm Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Ison and Rev. Kevin Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Hicks Cemetery and friends may visit the family from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Monday at the Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home.
