Patricia Cunningham, 80

Patricia “Pat” Martin Cunningham, age 80, of Clinton, Kentucky passed away at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital in Paducah on Sunday, August 4, 2019.

Pat was born in Bartow, Florida on February 13, 1939 to Cecil and Julia Pulley Martin. She was an active member of New Harmony Baptist Church where she loved to sing. She was employed at Deena Inc., at Garan’s Clothing Factory, and worked as a caregiver for several neighbors and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Bert Cunningham of Clinton; her son, Joseph “Joe” (Karen) Payne of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren, Joseph G. Payne of Columbus, Ohio, Alisha (Jonathan) Payne Harvey of Columbus, Ohio, and Olivia (Josey) Payne Becker of Dayton, Ohio; two step-sons, Ricky (Tina) Cunningham of Clinton and Tim (LonGena) Cunningham of Clinton; step grandchildren, Ashley (Travis) Cunningham Roach of Clinton, Austin Cunningham of Clinton, Chris (Kaitlyn) Wilson of Clinton, and T.J. (Zach) Cunningham Williams of South Fulton; sisters, Joyce Martin Bugg of Clinton, Lucille “Kennie” Martin Gregory of Mayfield, and Ann Martin Webb of Phoenix, Arizona; “bonus daughter”, Teresa Allison of Clinton.

Pat was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Edwin Payne; her parents; her daughter, Debra Lynn Payne Sloan; her sisters, Dora Martin Nall Hastings, Lillian “Billie” Martin Sokoll, Betty Martin Slater, and Louise Martin Breedlove; her brother, Cecil Martin, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at New Harmony Baptist Church of Clinton on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Revs. Ricky Burton and Corey Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Memorial Gardens near Fulton, Kentucky. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday August 7, 2019 at New Harmony Baptist Church.
