Mr. James E. Stevenson, age 77, of Calvert City, KY passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at his residence in Calvert City, KY. He was a land surveyor and received his Associates Degree in Civil Engineering from UK.He was born on Saturday, March 20, 1942 in Calvert City, KY. He was the son of the late Thomas Stevenson and the late Ollie Mae (Russell) Stevenson.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Leslie (Sherwood) Stevenson, Calvert City, KY; son, Paul Stevenson, wife Anita of Calvert City, KY; daughter, Kathy Larkin of Calvert City, KY; brothers, Rudell Stevenson of Calvert City, KY, Melton Stevenson of Calvert City, KY and Thomas “Tinker” Stevenson of Calvert City, KY, sister, Frances Brown of Calvert City, KY; grandchildren Jay Larkin, Leah Larkin, Hillary Stevenson, Christy Sanders and great grandchildren Dylan Russell Larkin, Olivia Larkin and Ben Larkin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2019, with Jay Larkin officiating at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th. St. Benton, KY 42025.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home.
