Mr. Jimmy Glynn Hogg McClanahan, Age 70, of Mayfield, KY passed away Friday March 22, 2019 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.
He was; A member of the First Christian Church in Fulton, KY; Retired from General Motors; Army Veteran of the Americal Division, and Purple Heart Recipient.
Mr. McClanahan is survived by his wife of 47 years, Peggy Jo Bird McClanahan; one son, Jason (Michelle) McClanahan of Warren, MI; two sisters, Kim (David) Copeland of Brighton, TN, and Susan (David) Douglas of Water Valley, KY; three grandchildren, Cameron, Chelsea, and Alec Link; great grandchildren, Layla, Aria, and Ella Link also survive.
He was preceded in death by; brother, Cecil Hogg Jr.; parents, Jack and Mary Lou Hogg; nephew, Darren Price.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00AM Thursday March 28, 2019 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Rusty Robinson will officiate. Graveside services will follow in the Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Galatia, IL. At 2:00PM Thursday March 28, 2019. Brian Bolton, Cory Pickens, Spenser Pruiett, Levi Pruiett, Lake Lofton, Sonny Bolton, Skylar Lofton, Zach Copeland, and Mark Bush will serve as pallbearers. Reggie Grissom, Winston Whitt, Kirk Byrn III, Kirk Byrn IV, Andrew Juszczyk, Cameron Link, Alec Link, and Kirk Vowell will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion.
Visitation will be held from 5-8PM Wednesday March 27, 2019 at the Byrn Funeral Home,
Masonic Rites will be conducted at 4:45PM Wednesday, 27, 2018 at the funeral home.
