Marshall 1 played Caldwell County for a second time this season but this game was quite different from the 29-17 win by Caldwell County. At halftime Caldwell County was up 14-11 and in the second, half both teams kept it close down to the wire with a 20-20 tie at the end of regulation.
In the two minute overtime period, neither team could score and it ended 22-22. Just as soon as Caldwell County controlled the tip in the second overtime, Lincoln Hawkins scored giving them the lead. Marshall 1 would answer with a basket by Trevin West, but it was Hawkins again scoring to give Caldwell County the 26-24 win. Marshall 1 was led by Edward Burkeen 10, Trevin West 8, Jennifer Irvan, Daniel Austin, Zach Haskins had 2 each.
