(Mayfield, Ky.) Nov. 14, 2018 – About 1500 West Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative (WKRECC) members in the Gilbertsville area of Marshall County will be affected by a scheduled 30-minute power outage on Saturday night, Nov. 17, 2018, starting around 9 p.m.
Generally, members affected are those located in Gilbertsville, Calvert City, along the Interstate 69 and U.S. Hwy 62 interchange, Kentucky Dam State Park and surrounding areas.
Over the past two months West Kentucky RECC has completed an upgrade of its Gilbertsville Substation, including the installation of a new transformer. This outage will allow for the new transformer to be connected, enhancing reliability for the members served by this substation.
WKRECC regrets having to interrupt service and apologizes for the inconvenience.
