Fifth grade students at Central Elementary made presentations on Wednesday that brought their favorite American historical figures to life.
Students were asked to choose a famous American to research, write an essay about, and give a 60 second presentation about what they learned.
Students chose a wide variety of historical figures including Dr. Seuss, Amelia Earhart, Kate Spade, Muhammed Ali, Jackie Kennedy, Tom Petty and Betsy Ross.
The entire fifth grade was in attendance for the presentations along with their family, teachers, faculty and staff, members of the press, Sheriff Kevin Byars and Senator Danny Carroll.
