Benton funeral home owners plea guilty Monday

Tim King and Becky King, owners of Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home plead guilty to taking hundreds of thousands of dollars for pre-paid funeral arrangements.

Tim King lost his funeral directors license for seven years and will have to spend 60 days in the Marshall County Jail beginning today, Tuesday, August 14. His wife Becky King, will begin 30 days of home incarceration beginning September 4, and her license are also suspended for five years with probation, allowing her to continue to work. Both will perform community service, Becky 200 hours and Tim 100 hours. The full amount owed to the victims, about $365,000 in cashier’s checks has been turned over to Mark Blankenship.
