Nancy Mathis, 83 of Benton, KY died on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at her residence in Benton, KY.
Born Thursday, September 13, 1934 in Benton, KY, she was the daughter of the late Naaman Duke and the late Cleo Lents Duke. She was the wife of the late Donald Mathis, they were married for 62 years. She attended Murray State University and taught school at Briensburg for 1 year before she began her career at the Bank of Marshall County where she worked for 41 years. There she started in the file room then worked her way up to Loan Officer then Assistant Vice President. She was a member of Central Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Tami Prince and husband Bob of Benton, KY; grandchild, Kaitlyn Renard; and two great grandchildren, Jasmine Prince and Brooklin Renard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald Mathis; two brothers, Joe Duke and A.N. Duke, Jr.; two sisters, Kate Henton and Anna Brien; and one grandchild, Lauren Gardner.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Red Jackson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the service time of 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Collier Funeral Home.
