
In their second game of the week against Murray, the Marshals earned a regular season district sweep of the Tigers in a five-inning 11-1 victory. The Marshals shut out Murray 14-0 in five innings at home on Tuesday.

Cole Griggs and Dalton Andersson each hit 1-run singles to give the Marshals an early 2-1 lead after the first inning. Murray’s one run came on a bases loaded walk.
A 6-run second inning put the Marshals up 8-1, scoring two runs on a single by CJ Johnson, single by Andersson, 2-run double by Tyler Belcher and sacrifice fly from Jordan Riley.
A run scored in the fourth inning on a single by Dawson Smothers and two runs in the fifth on bases loaded walks by Smothers and Jackson Beal. Skyler Brown pitched all five innings for the Marshals in the win, allowing one hit, one run and struck out 10.
The Marshals will play two games Saturday in Hopkinsville at the Town and Country Classic, 11:00 am against Hopkinsville (7-8) and a 2:30 game against Grayson County (3-9).
