
McCracken County continued their dominance over Region I opponents in their 15-0 win over Marshall County Thursday evening in four innings on 16 hits.

Rattling the Lady Marshals early, McCracken County jumped out to a 4-0 lead, scoring all four runs on two outs. The first run crossed on a wild pitch followed by a 1-run double by Loren Shelton, an RBI single by Lexi Carter and a run scored on an error.
The Lady Mustangs added two more runs in the second inning on a single by Lindsey Carroll and RBI from Abby Shoulders. A 2-run homer in the third inning off the bat of Elizabeth Lindsey gave McCracken County an 8-0 lead.
The only hit of the game for the Lady Marshals came in the top of the fourth inning by Layne Pea. McCracken County put together a 7-run fourth inning to finish the game out in four innings and continue their unbeaten streak against Region I opponents for the #7 ranked Lady Mustangs.
Lakyn Largent pitched all four inning for the Lady Mustangs in the win.
The Lady Marshals will head to the Big M Chevrolet Classic in Elizabethtown for three games Saturday. They will meet Holy Cross-Louisville (11-3) at 9:00 am, #3 Scott County (10-1) at 11:00 am and #14 Apollo (7-4) at 3:00.
