George Lee Brinkley, 67 of Calvert City, Kentucky died on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at his residence.
Born September 29, 1950 he was the son of the late George Henry Brinkley and Gladys Jones Brinkley. In his early years he worked for Illinois Central Railroad where he retired as a Boilermaker. Later on he continued working as a Millwright welder.
He is survived by two sons, Chad Brinkley and wife Crystal of Mayfield, KY, Jeff
Brinkley of Paducah, KY; daughter, Leigh Ann Cagle and husband Stephen of Paducah, KY; sister, Beverly Mitchell; four grandchildren, Dylan Riley, Brooke Riley, Lexi Brinkley, Kristen Brinkley; step son, Jason Mayo; and step daughter, Gretchen Sams.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Susie Phelps Brinkley.
A Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Rev. Michael Evans officiating.
Interment will be in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the service time of 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Collier Funeral Home.
