A semi truck loaded with equipment is stuck in the northbound US 45 Connector ramp to the Purchase Parkway at Mayfield. This is the northbound lane that connects US 45 to the Northbound lanes of the Purchase Parkway at Exit 21.
A wrecker capable of removing it will not be available until sometime Tuesday morning, so this connector ramp will be blocked for up to 12 hours.
Detour is via US 45-Business through Mayfield.
Area 911 Call Centers have indicated they have had dozens of calls about crashes and vehicles off the road in the last couple of hours. The wait for a tow truck to become available is substantial.
With another 2 to 4 inches of snow expected before the snow ends around midnight, driving conditions are going to continue to deteriorate, especially as temperatures are expected to plumment after the snow ends.
