KSP seeks fugitive who fled from stop near Draffenville

Kentucky State Police are requesting the public’s assistance locating a man who fled on foot during a traffic stop.

According to Kentucky State Police, troopers at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10 on U.S. Highway 68 near Draffenville. Troopers searched the vehicle during the stop and allegedly found drug paraphernalia to indicated trafficking and a “significant amount of methamphetamine,” according to KSP.

The driver, Ian D. Hunter, 38, allegedly resisted arrest and managed to get away, fleeing on foot. Troopers, with the help of Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Benton Police Department and Calvert City Police Department, were unable to find Hunter during a subsequent search.

Hunter has recently used addresses in McCracken and Livingston counties. He is a bald white man, about 6-feet tall and 215 pounds, with green eyes.

KSP urges anyone who knows Hunter’s whereabouts to contact them at 270-856-3721. Police say the public should not approach Hunter, but call law enforcement if sighted.
