Ronald Gene Burkeen, 62, of Benton, died on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah. Born Thursday, Nov. 24, 1955, in Benton, he was a member of North Marshall Church of Christ and was a retired Chemical Operator for Ashland Chemical in Calvert City.
Mr. Burkeen is by his wife Lesa (Hall) Burkeen of Benton, KY, his mother Betty Louise (McCoy) Burkeen of Benton, KY, daughters, Jennifer Showers husband Mike of Henderson, TN, Becky Aarvig husband Joey of Fisherville, KY, Amanda Burkeen of Benton, KY and Katie Crume of Benton, KY, four grandchildren, Alyssa and David Showers and Tyler and Dylan Aarvig, sisters, Brenda Robey of Paducah, KY and Debbie Tabor of Paducah, KY and his uncle Bobby D. McCoy of Calvert City, KY.
Mr. Burkeen was preceded in death by his father Everett Eugene Burkeen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 15, 2017 in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home with Jim Long and Kevin Knees officiating. Burial will follow in Dees Cemetery, Calvert City, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W 5th St, Benton, KY 42025.
