Mrs. Mary Frances Brown, age, 78 of Benton, KY passed away Monday, November 27, 2017, at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton, KY.
Born Saturday, October 14, 1939 in Marshall County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Homer McNeely and the late Pearl (Futrell) McNeely.
She was the wife of the late Joe Paul Brown.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Murray State University. During her 35 year tenure at Murray State University, she was a secretary at the Waterfield Library. In May of 1968 she became an executive secretary at Waterfield Library, a position she kept until her retirement.
She loved gardening, traveling, and antiquing.
She is survived by one brother, Joe McNeely of Evansville, IN., two nieces and two nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, John McNeely.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at noon at the Fairdealing Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Interment will follow the service.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
