Marshall County Sheriff’s report, Nov. 20, 2017:
Deputy Cory Curtner about 7:25 a.m. Nov. 14 served an arrest warrant near Calvert City. Claude J. Johnson, 20, of Calvert City was served a bench warrant for failure to appear.
Deputy Jason Ivey about 7:45 a.m. Nov. 13 responded to Gerald Chambers and Sons to investigate the theft of a motor vehicle. A white Dodge single cab truck with Gerald Chambers and Sons logos on it was taken. It was noted that an inmate had escaped from the Marshall County Detention Center Class D. Facility about 85 minutes prior to the theft. The inmate, Dakota Reeder is a 20-year-old white male from Simpsonville. Anyone with information on Reeder please call the Kentucky State Police or your local law enforcement agency.
Deputy Barry Howell on Nov. 14 was in Circuit Court when the Judge ordered a woman to undergo drug testing. A female employee of Probation and Parole was to administer the test. A bottle of urine was found on the woman and she admitted that she had the bottle because she knew she would fail a test. Tammy R. Whittington of Calvert City was arrested and charged with Tampering With Physical Evidence.
Deputy Barry Howell at 10:29 a.m. Nov. 15 served a warrant for the Marshall Circuit Court when he arrested Tammy R. Whittington of Calvert City. The warrant was for a bond violation for a positive drug screen.
Deputy Barry Howell Nov. 15 served an indictment warrant on William D. Dixon of Paducah. He was charged with Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon by Prior Deadly Weapon Felony Offender; Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine); Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Possess; Giving Officer False Identifying Information; Persistent Felony Offender II
Deputy Jason Ivey at 7:10 a.m. Nov. 16 investigated an injury crash on Slickback Road. According to his report, a vehicle driven by Kelly S. Winn of Hickory, was southbound on Slickback Road and slowing to make a left turn. A vehicle driven by Ryan T. Curry of Benton, was following and attempted to go around the turning vehicle. Impact occurred and Curry’s vehicle continued into the yard at the Marshall County Health Department. Curry was found to have no insurance and was cited to appear in court.
Sgt. Eddie McGuire at 10:07 p.m. Nov. 16 responded to a disturbance on Darnell Road. After the investigation, John C. Jones of Benton was arrested for Violation of Conditions of Release, as he was to have no contact with the resident and stay away from the residence where he was located on Darnell Road. McGuire was assisted by SGT. Jason Lane and Trooper Will Propes of the Kentucky State Police.
Deputy Dennis Lewis Nov. 15 investigated the theft of a BMX bike from US 641 N. Lynzie B. Mackey of Benton reported that someone had taken a bike belonging to her son. The bike is described as a black Mongoose. Maj. David Maddox at 11:20 a.m. Nov. 17 served an arrest warrant on April Petway of Murray. The warrant was for Graves County and charged Petway with Bail Jumping 1st Degree.
Deputy Cory Curtner at 10:40 a.m. Nov. 19 responded to US 641 S in reference to a suspicious person. Investigation revealed that three arrest warrants were in effect for the person. Curtner arrested Ryan P. Parker, 26, of Marion on three warrants from Criitenden County on charges of Non-Payment of Fines, and Failure to Appear (two counts).
Deputy William Strader at 9 a.m. Nov. 18 served three failure to appear warrants from Calloway County to Kenneth D. Sterling of Hardin. He was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
Deputy William Strader on Nov. 19 responded to the area of US 641 and Sid Darnell Road. According to the citation filed by Strader, he had responded in reference to a pick up truck being found in the roadway. The driver of the vehicle was missing. Deputy Strader found the driver inside Morris Automotive. The door to the business had been forced. Kerry F. Henson of Dexter was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and Public Intoxication Controlled Substance. He was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
Deputy Luke Rudd on Nov. 18 served an indictment warrant on Brandie Bailey of Calvert City. Bailey was charged with DUI, Operating on Suspended or Revoked, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree- Meth, and Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Possess.
Deputy Dennis Lewis at 11:30 p.m. Nov. 17 served a Graves County Bench Warrant on Robert Matthew Haines of Symsonia. The warrant was for failure to appear.
Sgt. Tim Reynolds on Nov. 17 responded to the parking lot of the Dollar General Store in Fairdealing in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle had been parked for over two hours with the engine running. Feet could be seen from the outside of the vehicle, near the steering wheel. Further investigation by Reynolds resulted in the arrest of the driver, Danny L. Todd, 58, of Hardin. Todd was charged with: DUI, No/Improper Use of Temp Tag, Failure of Non Owner to Maintain Insurance, Drug Paraphernalia Buy / Possess, and Possession of Marijuana.
