Two area residents are facing charges after police say they uncovered drugs after a false report.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, about 4:35 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, deputies and officers with Calvert City Police Department responded to a home on Falcon Circle in reference to a caller claiming someone was trying to kill her. Investigation allegedly revealed drugs on the premises instead and that the report had been untrue.
Police arrested April L. Petway of Murray on suspicion of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and falsely reporting an incident.
Police also arrested the home resident, Rickie Wayne Fennel of Gilbertsville, on suspicion of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of a Legend drug.
