Land Between the Lakes , KY/TN – November 13,2017 – Step back in time to the smell of pine needles and gingerbread as the Homeplace 1850s Working Farm and Living History Museum celebrates Christmas in 1850 at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, 1 – 4pm on Saturday, November 25, 2017.
“Everyone is invited to join us and see how the farm family celebrated the Christmas season.” says lead Homeplace interpreter Cindy Earls.
Enjoy the traditional music by the Dixie Volunteers as we welcome the yearly visit from Santa Claus! Visitors can learn how to make 1850 era Christmas decorations, help decorate the farm’s Christmas tree in the Parlor, sample holiday treats and collect recipes to make at home.
