Four-vehicle crash on Purchase Parkway leads to injuries

A Monday afternoon crash on the Purchase Parkway sent three area residents to the hospital.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, about 4:19 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, Beth Stering of Hardin was driving south on the Parkway, approaching the bridges just north of Benton when she approached a construction zone where three other vehicles were stopped or stopping to accommodate one-lane traffic. Stering was unable to stop and struck a vehicle driven by Wilton Roach of Farmington and another driven by Hayleigh Feagan of Farmington in the rear.

Feagan, in turn, struck the vehicle in front of her, which was driven by John Ellington of Symsonia.

Ellington, Roach and a passenger were all taken to Marshall County Hospital via EMS for treatment.

Marshall County EMS, Palma Briensburg Fire Department and Benton Police Department assisted on scene.
