
Roy H. Johnson, 84, of Kuttawa, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marshall County.
He was a member of Glenn’s Chapel Methodist Church in Lyon County, a 50-year member of Calvert City Masonic Lodge No. 543, the Scottish Rite and Rizpah Shrine Temple in Madisonville.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Nell Bingham Johnson of Marshall County; three sons, William Roy Johnson of Gilbertsville, T. J. Johnson of Gilbertsville and Jerry Jennings of Florida; three daughters, Bonnie Johnson of Gilbertsville, Martha Flack of Portage, Mich., and Francis Throgmorton of Paducah; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Edna Mae Bonnell. His parents were William and Mable English Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville. The Rev. Bill Taylor will officiate, followed by burial in Glenn’s Chapel Cemetery in Lyon County. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, with Masonic Rites conducted at 10 a.m.
