Hanna Salyer Adams, age 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday Oct. 25, 2017 at her home in Calvert City, KY.
She was born in Salyersville, KY (Magoffin Co.) to Coin and Sarah Salyer on September 22, 1927. She was the 6th of twelve children. Hanna was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Mother-in-Law, sister and Aunt to many.
She is survived by her son Mike (Carolyn) Adams of Dayton, OH; daughter Drusilla (Michael) Donald of Calvert City, KY; Grandchildren- Kimberly (Chad) Connors, Brad (Vanessa) Adams, Matthew (Krista) Donald, Brittany (Ben) Salmon, China Gentile & Louis Gentile; 14 Great-Grand Children, sister Janet Arnett, brothers Bob (Pauline) Salyer, David Salyer and many special nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her Husband of 44 years Earl (Bud) Adams, sisters Helen Whisman, Hortense Patrick, Faye Steffens & Joyce Grooms; brothers Hershel Salyer, Harold Salyer, Herman Salyer, & Jerry Salyer, and many other riends & family members.
Hanna lived most of her life in Dayton, OH where she was a housewife and owned a local beauty salon. She was a member of the Moraine Heights Baptist Church before moving to Calvert City where she faithfully attended Pathway Baptist Church.
She was dedicated to serving the Lord. You could search the world over and not find a more loving Mother or Grandmother. S
he loved cooking and hosting gatherings for family and friends. For many years she spent her time between her homes in Calvert City and Pine Island, FL where she enjoyed bird watching and fishing.
She will be greatly missed by her adoring family and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 28th, 2017 at Pathway Baptist Church in Calvert City, KY with visitation from 10am-12pm with the service immediately following officiated by Pastor Mike Donald.
On Monday, October 30th, 2017 friends and family may call on The Roustong Funeral Home at 2100 E. Stroop Ave in Kettering, OH for visitation from 10am-12pm with Graveside Services immediately following at The Dayton Memorial Cemetery.
