
Christian Fellowship played their last regular season game Tuesday at Calloway County, winning 3-0 (25-16, 25-10, 25-10). It was Volley for a Cure night and the varsity players played in honor or remembrance of someone with cancer.
Emma Fletcher played in honor of Dale Myer, Sarah Muller played in honor of Kathy Muller and Geneva Washburn, Emma Alexander played in honor of Marla Thomason and Bill Alexander, Abigail Cima played in remembrance of Richard Cima, Maggie Wagner played in remembrance of Gertie Shephard, Lexi Hovekamp played in remembrance of Gary Sutherland, Jaycie Jackson played in honor of Rodger Bridges, Brecksyn Etheridge played in honor of Kelly Monroe, Kenzie Murdock played in remembrance of Jana Ward and Cameron Slayden played in honor of Tonya Bordy.
Statistic leaders from the win were Cima with 15 kills, four aces and two blocks, Wagner had nine kills, five aces and two blocks, Muller had five kills and four blocks, Alexander had 26 assists and one block, Hovekamp had one block and one assist, seven kills by Fletcher and one by Jackson.
The Lady Eagles won the KCAC Tournament on Saturday with two wins over Covington Latin and Portland Christian. CFS will be the number one seed in the 4th District Tournament at Murray beginning October 16th. They will play the number four seed Calloway County on the 16th at 5:30 followed by Marshall County vs. Murray in the 7:00 game. The championship game will be played on October 17th at 6:00.
