DON HOUSMAN, 68 of Hardin, Kentucky passed away Thursday afternoon August 24, 2017 at his home.
Don retired from Continental General Tire and was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. He played the drums in several local bands and played at the American Legion in Mayfield, Kentucky. Don was an avid golfer and played twice a week with the Sullivan Par 3 Senior League at Sullivan Par 3 in Murray, Kentucky. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Neala York Housman of Hardin, Kentucky; his daughter, Jessica Housman Sanders and her husband Josh of Hardin, KY; his two sons, Don Rentfrow and his wife Jenny of Benton, KY and Jason Housman and his wife Misty of Calvert City, KY; four grandchildren, Austin Rentfrow, Dalton Rentfrow, Jaydon Sanders and Jonah Sanders; his sister, Mary Mills and her husband Marty of Mayfield, KY.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ronald Housman, Lonnie Housman, Judy Musser, Libby Raines, Tom Housman, Martha Mae Kind, Ruby Higgs, Geneva Webb and Jeanette Seavers. His parents were, Sam and Lorene Langston Housman.
Funeral services 1:00PM Monday, August 28, 2017 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Rev. Rodney Wallace and Rev. Trad York will officiate and burial with Military Rites will follow in the Pace Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00PM Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory.
