
Mrs. Mildred Faye (Cochrum) Farmer, 86, of Symsonia, died on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation in Metropolis, Ill. She was a retired seamstress for Meritt Clothing and was a member of Symsonia Baptist Church.
Born Monday, Sept. 22, 1930, in Lynn Grove, she was the daughter of the late Charley Cochrum and the late Audie (Ritchie) Cochrum.
Surviving are daughters, Pam DeBernardi of Symsonia and Dianne Beckman of Lone Oak; grandchildren, Amanda Balcerzak and husband Chris of Lone Oak, Emily Thompson and husband Brian of Indianapolis, Ind., Garrett DeBernardi and wife Erin of Indianapolis, Ind., Nathan DeBernardi of Nashville, Tenn., and Tyler DeBernardi of Symsonia; and great-grandchildren, Daniel and Hannah Balcerzak of Lone Oak.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clint “Jim” Farmer; brothers, Cord Cochrum, Taz Cochrum and Herman (Red) Cochrum; and sisters, Charlene Baker, Earlene Hopkins, Marelle Turner and Clellon Wilkerson.
A Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Rick Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in Symsonia Cemetery in Symsonia.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19 at Collier Funeral Home.
