Benton man arrested after callers report vehicle driving in wrong lane

A Benton man was arrested last week after police say he was caught driving impaired.

According to Benton Police Department, Aaron B. Hobbs, 23, of Benton, was arrested and charged with second offense DUI, driving on a DUI suspended license, giving an officer false identifying information and possession of synthetic drugs.

Police say on Sunday, July 2, central dispatch received numerous reports of a possible impaired driver in Benton; dispatchers told officers residents reported the vehicle had been driving in the wrong lane and running other vehicles off the road. Officers located the vehicle, allegedly driven by Hobbs, and conducted a traffic stop.

Hobbs allegedly failed field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested.
