A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans asphalt paving along KY
1445, KY 1518 and KY 408 in MARSHALL County over the next few weeks.
Paving is planned at the following locations:
KY 1445/Dogtown Road
Asphalt paving from milepoint 0.0 at the Beginning of State Maintenance extending
northward to US 641 at mile pont 3.643 starting Thursday, June 29th and continuing
for about 4 working days
KY 1518/Church Grove Road
Asphalt paving from the US 641-Spur at milepoint 0.162 extending eastward to US 641
at mile point 1.985 starting Wednesday, July 5th and continuing for about 2 working
days
KY 408/Egners Ferry Road
Asphalt Paving from Milepoint 9.874 at the Clarks River Bridge extending eastward to
US 68 at milepoint 13.04 starting Monday, July 10th and continuing for about 4
working days
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by
flaggers. Some minor delays are possible during the movement of equipment to
facilitate the work.
Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and paving
personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
Jim Smith Contracting is the prime contractor in this $802,748 group paving project.
The target completion date is July 20th, weather permitting.
